What is sink refinishing?
Sink refinishing is a cost-effective way to restore your sink’s appearance and functionality without the need for replacement. Whether your sink has chips, cracks, stains, or general wear, refinishing repairs these imperfections and gives your sink a fresh, like-new finish. This process is quick, eco-friendly, and saves you both time and money compared to installing a new sink in many cases, especially when there are no direct replacements available in the size you need. Refinishing is also highly durable, providing a long-lasting solution that resists daily wear and tear. Whether you have a kitchen, bathroom, pedestal, or barn sink, refinishing enhances its aesthetic appeal, extending its lifespan and improving the overall look of your space.
When should I have my bathtub Refinished?
You should consider sink refinishing when your sink shows signs of wear, such as chips, cracks, stains, or discoloration, but is still structurally sound. If your sink looks outdated or damaged, refinishing can restore its appearance at a fraction of the cost of replacement. It’s an ideal solution for homeowners looking to update their kitchen or bathroom without the hassle of installing a new sink. Refinishing is quick, durable, and less polluting than replacement, providing long-lasting results and enhancing your sink’s overall appearance.

Other sink-related considerations
There are several considerations to make when refinishing sinks. Make sure you've planned it out.
Hardware removal and recovery
Some sinks have valuable antique hardware that is difficult to find replacements for, and almost all hardware is difficult to remove, especially if trying to recover it for future use. We do charge for removal of hardware on a time and material basis.
Reglazing vs Refinishing
Highly valuable collector sinks such as one-piece kitchen sets from the 50's regain much more of their value if reglazed with actual porcelain rather than refinishing. Be sure to ask us about the difference if you have a collectors set you would like to fully restore to original state.
What hardware will you choose?
Many people enjoy the look of an old barn sink, but want the modernity of a single faucet with variable temperature, rather than separate cold and hot faucets, for example. Choose your hardware setup before refinishing, and ask about the proper holes for your needs.
