How long does it take?

Depending on the situation, it can take from under an hour, to multiple sessions of several hours of the span of 2 or 3 days to fully bring some surfaces back to life. Please inquire further to get an estimation of how long it might take.

Is it dangerous or harmful?

Certainly not! While the products we use should be handled only by professionals, the way we handle them guarantees there is no risk to your health or well-being at all. That said, anyone with respiratory issues or smell sensitivities may want to find somewhere else to be for the day for surface repair, grout recoloring, tile restoration, and cleaning.

Do I need to do anything before you come?

We will send you a guide on how to prepare for our arrival for the best results when we book your bathtub refinishing. That said, here are some of the main things you can do, so you know ahead of time.

  • Ensure leaky faucets are repaired or replaced
  • Ensure the drain functions as it should
  • Remove all loose items from the area
  • Dust the room to keep dust from landing in the fresh coating
  • Clean the area within 12 inches of the damage to its original surface color if you would like color matches to be accurate, and to not trap debris in the repair
  • If water and power are not available, we need to know ahead of time - the same goes for heat in cooler months
  • If anyone in the home has respiratory issues, we recommend they find somewhere else to be for the day
  • All walls must be sealed, so there is no open framing or areas where dust cannot be controlled
How do I pay?

You can pay with cash, check, or bank transfer, or for a 3% fee card fee, we also accept most debit and credit cards. If paying with cash, we ask you pay the technician on site, so it doesn't get lost in the mail.

Do I need to be home?

Nope! You are free to leave, and we will call you if we have any questions or problems.

Can you repair the non-slip coating?

Yes, we apply ADA-compliant non-slip coating additive to repairs in areas with non-slip coatings.

How well does the color match?

Depending on the fixture, discoloration of the surface, stains, sun damage, fading, fading of the clear coats, polishing, etc, we can usually get the color and shine to match so that you cannot see a repair was performed unless you shine direct light on it and look closely. Often times, you can't notice at all. We strive to color match within 5% when possible.

How do I take care of my repaired surfaces?

We typically recommend a cleaning solution of 50% vinegar, and 50% warm water, with a few drops of dish soap applied with a spray bottle, and wiped with microfibre towels, though any standard non-abrasive bathroom cleaner will do.

Magic erasers are great for removing tough spots, and spray on Turtle Wax applied liberally every 3 to 4 months will extend of the life of the coating dramatically.
